Greenville Drive @ Savannah Sand Gnats Series Preview

For those paying attention, tonight is actually game three of the five game set between the Sally Red Sox and Mets in Savannah. Having been in Chicago for games one and two, tonight is the first time I’ll have an opportunity to see Greenville this season.

Tonight’s game features twenty year old lefty Manuel Rivera who has had a solid season, but is not without significant question marks. I hope to answer some of those tonight as I’ll be in attendance scouting and taking video.

Additionally, Michael Almanzar makes a return to Savannah after a very difficult year-plus. With a line of .244/.299/.365 from a “slugging” third baseman, he obviously has a ways to go.

Reymond Fuentes, Derrick Gibson, and Kendall Volz, the three biggest prospects names in the series, have had up-and-down seasons and I’ve received mixed reviews from scouts. Needless to say my Stalker will stay busy and I’ll have a ton of footage from the series to to edit and post to YouTube.
